E3 Partners - TANZANIA
Tanzania is a nation of approximately 40 million people. Less than 10% of the people are born again Christians. The vast majority of people have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. There are thousands of communities and villages in Tanzania without a single evangelical church. But the Lord is working in a powerful way. There is a great hunger for the gospel, and the evangelical church in Tanzania is quickly catching the Lord’s vision to reach people with the gospel, make disciples, and plant new churches.
E3 Partners has only been working in Tanzania since 1995. In the beginning, E3 started conducting campaigns in various cities that were fruitful. People were receiving Christ and churches were being planted, but there was no coordinated country plan and no clear E3 Tanzanian leadership structure. However, in 2007 things really began to take shape so in 2008 E3 in Tanzania began to experience rapid growth.
Directly related to the efforts of the past two years, in 2009 we expect 342 new churches to be planted, 54,000 people to hear the gospel, and 650 pastors to be trained through Training Centers.
Shinyanga Baptist Training Institute
Through E3 Trips to Tanzania, many come to know Christ as their Savior and desire to spread the Gospel and plant churches in other areas of Africa, but these individuals need to be trained in church planting and pastoring, which is the purpose of the Shinyanga Baptist Training Institute. Through this center, hundreds of native Tanzanians will be trained and equipped to become pastors in African villages.
