Austin,Texas - Hays Community Church
We are very thankful that God has given us more families at Hays Community Church. Currently we have about 12 families that say Hays Community Church is their home church, and we average about 25 each Sunday. The really neat thing for us is that God has brought us folks who were unchurched, and many of those folks have had virtually no church background. We would love to share just a couple stories with you of how Hays Community Church has experienced Jesus’ presence and power. We have one woman in our church that has experienced demonic oppression her entire life. We were used by God to cast demons out of her house, and she is walking in freedom for the first time in her life.
We have a family in our church where the husband left the wife and filed for divorce. Through prayer and fasting and much counseling, God has led the husband to drop the divorce and move back home. They are now receiving professional counseling. We are so thankful to the Lord for the miracles that He has done in the lives of people that are a part of HCC. Thank you so much for partnering with us so that, through His power, we can build Christ’s church and expand His kingdom one person and family at a time.

Phoenix, Arizona - The Church at Sun Valley
The Church at Sun Valley is the incarnation of a dream. It began with God years ago speaking to a young man praying to make a difference for his Master’s Kingdom and in the world. Today, Pastors Ray Strauss and Daniel Scott have the privilege of meeting families they have prayed years for as they move into their new homes. God has honored their prayer with a calling and ministry that is impacting a new community and town in ways that can only be explained as a work of God. Every week, new families are moving in to begin a new life with all the hopes and dreams that go with it. To help with that new beginning, The Church at Sun Valley responds with a variety of acts of service. In getting to know their neighbors and community, they have the opportunity to learn their needs. In meeting needs, they earn trust and friends. As a result, approximately 90% of their community becomes involved in at least one of their church outreach events; whether it is a Bible-study, block party, recreational ministry, Mom’s group, or church service.
Today, in an area that what was once a barren desert, people now praise God. This was not always the case. Only one year ago, the Festival Foothills community was little more than a construction site. Today however, nearly 300 families call this place home with over 200 involved in one or more of the ministries of The Church at Sun Valley. Some believe this new church is literally one of God’s miracles. But to Co-Planters Daniel Scott and Ray Strauss, the unmistakable miracle is the many lives that have been transformed by the gospel and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church at Sun Valley has come a long way since its birth last January. From the first meeting in a home to the many small groups meeting in numerous homes, the church is growing. From the first proclamation of the gospel and salvation to the baptism of many, the Kingdom of God advances. Because of the faithfulness of God and the commitment of First Baptist Church Euless to His Great Commission, families are growing strong, the community fortified, and The Church at Sun Valley shines bright in NW Phoenix.
“Behold, I will do something new...I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. The people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise.” Isaiah 43:19, 21
